Default Help!!!!

I have a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 automatic transmission (4r44e). I've worked as a mechanic for years but am definitely stuck on this one....

I'm attempting to replace the neutral safety switch on the driver side of the transmission. It obviously looks straight forward except removing the main 22mm nut that's rusted on. Attempting to turn the nut to remove turns the shifting bracket. I've tried holding it back, bracing it, but after shearing off the bracket I'm stumped. Please help!!!

If it seems stripped and the sensor is just spinning try turning the 22mm with a wrench and prying on it with a flathead screwdriver or pry bar under the wrench while you turn.
