Why do you need to ask this? The vehicle's model year is on the title and door jamb. If the title has an incorrect model year then it is NOT a valid title. Does your mommy still tie your shoes?

Game on, he texted me and gave me his location so I could come and look at the truck. His wife is going to the BMV today to get a replacement title because she can't find it evidently it is in her name.

SO I google earthed his house, and sure enough there is a ranger in front of it. Looks to me like a 2001, 2002 or 2003.






With him thinking it was a 90 I'm surprised he can obtain and keep a wife.

I think it might be more than his fingers that are fat but I'll know tonight. Has to be an 01-03 by the grille and the tail lights. His neighborhood is nice though.

The idiots do happen. I bought a 93 lightning two months ago. Dealer had no clue what it was. He kept asking me what made it special. Didn't tell him till after the deal was done at $3900 feel like I got a good deal since these trucks in this good of shape usually sell between $5k and $7k. Hopefully you get just as good a deal.

And to clarify yes it was manual got no tack auto got the tach. Something to do with the auto trucks typically being higher trim packages sharing a dash harness with the explorers which did not have a manual option in the later years. Goofy and illogical but that's just how it happens cheaper to make harnesses that way I guess.

OK his wife found the original title. It was her grandpas, then passed on to her dad and she inherited it. Title says 2002.

He actually drove it to his work today because his car is getting serviced, it started but still won't go over 40.

I'm picking it up Tuesday of next week and driving it back. I think this is a deal I deserve at least one the past 2 years have been full of duds.
