Default Cold Air Intakes!

I want to buy a cold air intake, but don't want to spend 200+ dollars on one, when i can find one for 40. the only problem is it says it is for a 4.0L and i have a 2.3L. Do you think a 4.3L would fit on a 2.3L? Here is the link for the page on ebay.

This one specifies a 4.0L

This one does not specify and engine type.

dont get one, only thing they do is empty your wallet. you should do the airbox mod and the throttle cable mod if you havent already.

Complete waste of money. They do NOTHING and in fact usually DECREASE performance. Your stock intake is a cold air intake and it is capable of flowing way more air than your engine will every need to inhale. And BTW, this statement includes air filters too. All those silly cones filters and the K&N drop-in filters do nothing for you but cause problems. Sorry to burst your bubble. Not trying to break your balls, trying to save you the effort and money wasted.

Keep the air filter clean (or replaced). Keep the throttle body clean. Keep the throttle cable snug.

So even if I put a brand new K and N intake system in my truck it would have little effect?

Incorrect. It would have NO effect. In fact, it will probably reduce performance.
