On the transit, it's an increase of $5,645 (depending on setup) to go the the diesel versus the 'standard' 3.7L V6 Engine (275 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque) offered in them.

Using these rounded made-up numbers - do you wanna call it $38k 'ish for a 4WD, extended cab, diesel powered Ranger?

thats probably still pretty basic.

I just built a z71 extended cab colorado and its base price was 34k before you added any options. It wouldnt take much to make it a 40k+ ranger.

Personally I like what I'm going to call the "classic" Ranger. Love the way it looks, and honestly, the first time I saw a Sport Trac I couldn't figure out why anyone would want one.
But that's just me........

Yeah, that's just my own preference. I've always been a Ranger fan, likely always will be.

True - if the diesel upgrade would even be available in the "base setup". Might push a person up into the higher model by default.

Absolutely.

I'm sure they would cross the 40k barrier without a doubt.

The vast majority of "new vehicle renters" pay big $$$ for the bells & whistles which in turn rakes in even bigger money for the auto makers.

id say more like 40 or so. Probably could run them close to the mid 40s fully loaded up

Just popping the balloon idea of a '$22k special' new 4WD, extended cab Ranger.

When they are slapping 60k for a f-150, 40k for a ranger sounds about right.

Cause when a ranger was 20k, a f-150 was 40k.

That's the amount I financed, just like someone might finance $40K for a ranger. Either way it's not really that much more is what I was getting at

I like that body style but only a few
