Default 2000 Automatic Transmission Leak

Soon after I bought my new 2000 V6 3.0 Ranger, I noticed that I was losing automatic transmission fluid.
I took it back to the dealership. They told me, "Oh, yeh, bring it in". They installed some sort of "retrofit kit", charging Ford a sizeable amount.
It was fine. Recently I noticed that I was losing a lot of fluid again. I took it to a mechanic. The rear extension seal had come lose. He told me that the extension was not machined properly and that the seal would not stay in. He reinstalled a new seal with some sealant.
It is losing very little now but is dripping every once in a while.
I wrote to the Pres., and CEO of FORD. I got a reply that it was being forwarded to the proper division.
You guys ever had this kind of problem? Solutions?
Thanks
