Default Where does the power steering system usually leak from? Reman pump or lines?

Last winter I stupidly blew the PS pump on my '95 4 cyl by keeping the wheel at lock while trying to get out of an icy parking spot. I had a re-manufactured unit installed which now leaks. Since the engine bay is a bit of a mess from when the original one "blew" I can't tell where the leak is coming from. Lines and connections are always where I start - unless someone tells me that the PS pumps on the market leak themselves. They are noisemakers that is for sure, so I have my doubts about their quality.

Ford power steering pumps from the '80s and '90s can be noisy, but usually it's more of a nuisance than an imminent failure.

You can buy an rebuild kit for the pump if you think the pump is leaking, but don't want to buy a new one.

Buy a few cans of brake clean and clean up all the mess from the first blow and see where PS fluid is still flowing.

This. Or some heavy degreaser and a pressure washer.
