Default dealerships... smh

Probably not a big deal since Its only been about 2000 miles. I usually change the oil right away when I buy a used vehicle because I never trust dealers/private parties. This time I waited about 2000 miles since I bought the truck and I noticed the dodge dealer I bought it from used a mopar filter that was about half the size as the factory motorcraft filter I used to change it this time. It probably doesnt do any harm which is why they probably used it but it just makes me kindaa annoyed.

They just threw what they had on it, 1/2 the size 1/2 the filter life.

Use Ford parts only. I bought my truck from a Dodge/Mopar dealership (that I work at) and I make sure to go to the local Ford dealer and buy a Motorcraft filter and oil when doing my oil change.

At least they changed the oil before putting it on the lot, so many dealers are too cheap to do even that.
