Default I'm back, and I'm ready to start over.

Hey guys, been a while, hasn't it. Over a year I believe. When we last saw each other, I was hoping to rebuild my truck. You guys told me it wasn't possible, and I got upset and left. Well, I'm back to say I've almost fully let go of the truck (emotionally, still haven't gotten rid of it, thinking about stripping it down for parts, be sure to look for those over in the Classifieds section). Anyway, after throwing a couple ideas at the wall, including a 2.3L Ecoboost Fox Body, I finally came back to the Ranger. I've got this idea for a V6 Ecoboost powered Single Cab, Step Side sorta Track truck. Sounds crazy, right? Well, right now, it's just an idea, but I wanted to get your guys' opinion. An who knows, maybe after that, I'll look into the plans I had for Wheeljack. Still, tell me what you guys think, I can't wait to hear.

Do you mean buy an Ecoboost F150 and build it for the track or buy an ecoboost v6 and put in a Ranger ? Either way, You've lost your mind.

Bit a 2.0 ecoboost with a stepside singlecab... The 2.7 and especially 3.5 will most likely be too powerful and you'll have no traction at all. You still have to come up with 10k for and engine though. And probably that much for a transmission.

^^ better chances of fitment and finding one at auction because the 2.0 and 1.6 come in the millions of fusions that are on the road (and wrecked) today.
Next best and most desirable would be the 2.3 ecoboost that's in the new mustangs. But good luck finding one cheap any time soon. 2.0 may be your only option here for reliability reasons

Nothing like having Outback Steakhouse tastes on a Taco Bell budget.

More like having an Elderberry House taste on a dollar store budget. If someone would look hard enough they can get a 5.0 explorer engine and transmission for 500$ maybe even find an explorer for a little more.
