door ajar light stays on

I have a 1999 ranger 4 door and my interior lights and door ajar light stays on. any ideas on how to fix this , other than take the bulbs out?

Replace the door ajar switch....................usually found on the latch inside the door.

had the same problem with my ranger. before you replace the door switch spray the door hinges and latches with WD40. i did mine 2 years ago and the light has never stayed on since
