Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Did what I hoped I'd never have to do. Installed a drop in liner, my bed floor was too far gone to patch. Maybe next spring I'll figure out a better way. At least now, nothing will fall through the floor!!

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
I put the 99 on craigslist last night at about 8 PM. By 930 I had 4 replies. Between e-mails and phone calls/text messages I have had 11 inquiries only one of them spam.
I thought I priced it ridiculously high at 2400 but the first guy would be here right now picking it up if I weren't going out of town tomorrow morning. 10 inquiries in less than 24 hours I'm not dropping the price.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Keep on wanting to sell my truck, even with how much I have invested I would still make money, but then I think of how I'd have to start all over on a new truck.
Anyways, today I reassembled my drivers door and put in a honeycomb grill I stumbled upon earlier today.

Do you have pictures of the grill that is on your hood? Is it a billet grill? If so can you post pictures of how it's attached. I have always read people saying they just mount up, but then other state you need to cut and zip tie...etc. Just curious if you can post some pictures of it since it's off the truck.
Thanks,
-Nigel

I believe it is called an Aluminum Billet grill, here is what it looked like when I bought the truck:
I am too lazy to go putside and take a picture right now, but it is just held on by zip ties and to make it fit flush, the PO cut most of the honeycomb part out and ziptied it to the outermost holes.
That explanation sounded terrible... Do you understand that at all or should I go get you a picture?

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Pulled it into the garage and started doing a flush of the power steering, probably got 60% of the old fluid out by just pulling it out of the reservoir and refilling with new and starting it up to circulate it through. Gonna drive it for a week or so and repeat this again.

Appreciate it.
Nope, I completely understand. I just wanted to see how people were installing them. I like how they look but then your picture above makes me not like it...lol I guess I will keep my honey comb. I just imagine most people botching their stock grill to put in an ill fitted billet grill. Your's looked the best though with no gaps. I've seen pictures of other peoples and the gaps were everywhere. Top/sides..etc.
Thanks,
-Nigel

My cash is netting me more now that the cost of borrowing, that is why I have a payment on the bike. And it doesn't change the fact that I have zero use for one.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
You know when I bought the truck the 4x4 was super janky and would only engage 1 in maybe 4 presses of the button. Decided to swap out the motor last night and BOOM it worked the first time I hit the button. Removing the pins from the old motors harness was a PITA though. I also changed the fluid in the transfer case and the transmission. Not sure if I like the fluid yet though. I went from Mobil 1 to the Valvoline jug (for economical reasons but it seems I may end up spending more and going back anyway) and it seems a bit notchier than it was before. Gonna give it a couple weeks and we will see if I will go back.
