I pretty much decided I wanted level 2 tow hooks and just called every junkyard who's phone number I could find to see if they had Rangers with chrome tow hooks (a lot of places said "we throw away aftermarket tow hooks as they can be unsafe" which made me sad and angry) and these were in North Carolina.

But those are NOT aftermarket tow hooks. 99% of those guys that work at those salvage yards are brainless boneheads and don't know anything about a Ford Ranger or any other motor vehicle. They only go by what their computer tells them like a bunch of robots.

Exactly, one place I called had 4 or 5 2003s, and threw all the hooks away. That one made me pissed.
