2004 high mileage Ranger
Greetings, this is my first post since joining. I grew up on a farm driving my grandpa's 1984 Ford Ranger. He sold that truck in 2021 with 425,000 miles on it (wish I had taken a picture of the odometer). I carried on the Ranger love. When I was in undergrad studies I bought a 2004 Ranger Edge 3.0 Vulcan from a fellow college student. That was 2017 and that little truck has seen me graduate undergrad and graduate school. I had the truck completely painted in 2018, have had the brakes all replaced once, replaced the engine in 2021 at 250,000 miles (Jasper rebuild, 3.0L) and I change the oil religiously every 5,000 miles, with motorcraft synthetic. Since 2021, the fuel pump, alternator, starter, have all been replaced.. Not to mention the radiator, water pump, etc., when we did the engine. My Ranger is still running strong at 315,000 miles. Transmission is still shifting good (fingers crossed), I don't have pictures on hand, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has one this far up in mileage? I sure am hoping that I can break through 400,000 with this kind of care.. I have money tucked back, but every time I look at new Ford truck prices, it makes me think I should just keep replacing stuff on my old truck.
