Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Any one know the amount of oil need when a evaporator/condenser coil has been replaced? Like how much should be added when those two parts get replaced.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
When I drive in Canada I want to minimize the fuel stops for expensive Canadian gas. Lower speed limits (100 km/h) is an easy first step, but the speedometer is miles only. I wrote a mi=km conversion table to stick on the dashboard. I like open windows instead of AC, but the AC may be worth it on highways. The last free step is check the tire pressure. It has synthetic oil now, so next is the wheel alignment. My 2nd tank idea is probably not worth the money for occasional trips, but I could get a bigger refill container.

Converting kilometers to miles is easy. Get rid of the cheat sheet.
Multiply kilometers by 6, divide by 10, add 1.6. Gets ya pretty close everytime.
After awhile it becomes second nature.

It's a lot easier to just multiply by .621 miles/km
Plus it's actually accurate

Be careful, it's illegal in Ontario, at least, to be playing with a phone and driving.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Is that whole box just for the police siren? Looks like it has some lighting options as well.
Looks like a dope setup you got going right now.
Today I added half a bottle of seafoam to my engine oil. I got this ranger only a few months back, so I've been trying to clean it up in the little ways that I can.
Not something done directly to my car (yet), but I ordered some new Moog lower control arms, 6pc set of NGK Iridium spark plugs, and a Gates serpentine belt.
All of those are things I should have replaced immediately after getting the truck, but I haven't had the money till now since I was between jobs at that time.

Actually yesterday. Cleaned the carpets, interior and waxed the door jambs. I finally got my OHC so when the temps gets out of the 30's that will be my next project.

Can't remember anymore as I bought those 12 years ago. They are wet suit quality neoprene and I paid 2 bills back in 05, so something comparable would prolly cost 3 bills today i'm guessing. You get what you pay for, though. These are showing their age, a little faded and a little frayed around the edges but overall still look pretty good.
Check these out as they advertise wet suit quality neoprene. Others do not, just say neoprene.
