Got it aligned after having the front end apart for the last time.

Drives so much better. A bit stiff still but stable.

Learned about a pozi rear end, rotated tires, examined rear main seal leak, and determined it was time for new brakes up front. Caliper's are a bit on the sticky side. Also examined the bed rust that has been spreading over the winter months.

Today I went to a shady backwoods Ford dealer and scheduled my truck to get the second key programmed Monday.

How is that done? Just solder a LED on?

Took a flare off to see if I liked the truck better with or without. I put it back on 5 minutes later.

Still getting a shake and bumps in the LF at highway speeds and grinding noise when I max out the steering left or right in a parking lot or drive thru. Shop tore the LF apart and replaced the lower ball joint and found nothing wrong, thinking I need to get a second opinion or just ride it out until the spring and check it myself once the weather clears up

Swapped my steering wheel, but not with the one I recently bought... with the leather one I bought 3 days after I had the truck.

But a while ago I took the cruise controls off to put in my dad's truck... need to go to the pick and pull to get my horn working.

Also replaced a dead tail light

Almost that simple, I cheated and followed a tutorial from here:
Airbag Code 27 - LED Conversion
HOWEVER he was wrong about the resistor value, a red black red resistor is 2K ohms, 200 ohms would have been red black brown. I used a 2.2K resistor (red red red) and it worked just fine.

Note: 5mm LEDS come in hundreds of different milliamp values, but any of them if you used a 200 ohm resistor as suggested in the tutorial will smoke the LED, would send 60ma thru it when it probably wants 20 max.

Thanks, that's really helpful!

So I wouldn't need to worry too much about the current draw of most bulbs? And should it be a 12V bulb?

The main reason for using a LED, a regular bulb would burn out again at some point making the code 27 return.

LED's normally run somewhere in the 3V range, the resistor essentially drops the 12V from the car to the lower voltage the LED needs to operate.

A regular bulb would be easier because you don't have to worry about positive and negative. The polarity was explained clearly in the original link though he didn't explain polarity but we all have google Anode is positive on the LED and cathode is negative. Negative on the board is closest to the edge and positive is toward the middle of the board. The resistor doesn't care and can be on either leg.

Finally got around to install the backup camera, I went manual and automatic, which is just a matter of running an extra wire from the trigger at the head unit to the reverse light.

That allows me to manually run the camera at anytime, and it will also turn on automatically when shifted into reverse.

I turned off the guide lines for now, not sure I like those.
