Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Tried to go to work at 0430. Got 2 miles in about 10 minutes. Said to myself, this just ain't worth it, too much ice.
Soo, tried again at 0700, said screw it again, I'm staying home. Double edge sword though, this means I "get" to work Saturday again.
73 days until retirement!!!!!

Good choice. I decided to make the drive to work on an icy day last month and ended up in a roll-over accident. Road looked clear but the black ice was there. I'm completely fine which made me trust the ranger so much more.

Glad you're alright, that'll certainly tighten up the shorts. I didn't want to hit the ditch like I did twice last winter, I want to make the Ranger last as long as possible. These little guys are a tough breed, but why risk it.
After I got home the second time, I got a call from one of our other drivers. Our dispatcher had texted everyone, but me, that the mills were too bad to get in or out anyway, and no one was expected to drive. Did I mention, everyone but ME!!!

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Found the bed I want to replace my stepside bed. It's in pretty good shape but these things aren't cheap. Anywhere from $500-1000. It's a 435 mile drive one way to get it....

The valence was cracked so the imperfections around the tow hooks is from the epoxy not the plasti dip...it sprays nicely just make sure your cans are warm or it splatters

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Replaced the headlight and turn signal bulbs. Wife stated that the headlights at night looked like yellow pee and so I decided to replace them. Holy smokes! They were the original bulbs from 2003. No wonder I couldn't see crap. And the turn signal bulbs had just a few, tiny flakes of yellow left on them. Yeesh!

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV
Decided to go ahead and change out the spark plugs while I had it in the garage for oil/filter change. Popped the boot off of #4 plug and the terminal was not attached to the plug, but rather stuck inside the boot! It apparently had broken off a long time ago because you could tell the pieces had been arcing. Truck ran fine/smooth even with it like this....no misfire codes, etc
