Buy a cork gasket the rubber gasket they give you is bent out of shape to much to seal properly

That may work better for you, mine is a 2007, so chances are my tranny looks brand new inside and has a lot of life left, but considering yours is 13 years old, I would do the drain, filter change, and fill.

Pulled it out of the garage and parked it in the driveway so I could work on my '87 Crown Victoria today -- changed the oil and vacuumed the interior and trunk.
Patiently waiting for my leather steering wheel from Tasca Ford -- I sure hope the wheel on my Ranger comes off easier than the one on my F-150 did.....

Did an oil change and put a new air filter in it and did a quick power wash

It does stiffen the suspension but not anymore than lift coils do.
