Waiting on electric fan setup, laptop with xp pro, drive shaft. I plan to modify a drive shaft and mate it to the 7.5 with 4:10s for two reasons.
1: work the bugs out before I lower it.
2: my engine configuration was built around 4:30 ratio. I will be able to tell which is the better choice relatively quick without scattering the 7.5.

it takes so much time. I also assembled everything thing except the transmission build. I'm the guy that chased every bolt hole, sandblasting, coatings, rocker arm geometry and so on.

did you read the two reasons? Before I install the 8.8 I have to make a choice between 4:10 and 4:30. The 7.5 has 4:10's

The first comment you quoted was me making fun of the other guy, not you

Ah, I am sorry that I did not pick up on that.
I saw drive shaft work, but I guess that would work with an 8.8 as well as the 7.5? I would hate to get drive shaft work done if it wasn't able to but right into an 8.8. I'm a noob, and drunk, but yeah it's gotta fit an 8.8 if it fits a 7.5, correct?

1" phenolic spacer. It looks close, but the clearance is suffice, it's tight at the pan to rack .5" and .5" at the roll to the sump, also suffice. I will not be 2 step launching with slicks image-362815166.jpg . ----------

unfortunately no it will not fit the 8.8. But I have resources, local shop will cut, weld, balance for $40. After the 8.8 install I will measure then purchase a quatermaster drives shaft.
