Default hi or low gear

4 x 4 2.5 tdi which is the best gear to drive in on the road i have 4 high 4 low 2 high 2 low which will give me the best mpg doing about 150 miles aday going to work and with diesel topping at 1.04 a liter its becoming a joke

No reason to put in in 4WD if you're just hitting pavement, keep it in 2 high
