Project "Night Light" LED Light Bar mount build
Hey guys,
I am building a light rack for my B3000 to eventually hold a 42in led light bar. This is the first time I have ever tried a project on this scale and it is/was a lot of fun!
I think this will get some of those creative juices flowing and hopefully inspire some of you to start a build of your own! Let me know what you think!
Part 1:
Part 2:

I've got a single can b2300. With a camper shell and roof racks. Do you think it would be good to mount a 42 or a 50 on the front bar of the rack. Was thinking about getting a curved bar. But don't want to go blind from the hood.

Looks good Chris. So when are you gonna get sponsored by Harbor Freight? LOL
One thing I would add to the project is little "legs" or bumps to the underside of the bed rails. That way when you tie down thing with ratchet straps they don't slide from front to back.

You dont want to mount the light bar right at the windshield because you dont want the light bouncing off your hood. That being said, a 42in fits nicely on the truck (as you saw). I think a 50 will be too wide.

Thanks! Yea, I know, I really should be sponsored by HF, I use their stuff all the time haha. I like your idea with the bumps underneath. I might have to make some adjustments down the road!

Re: Project "Night Light" LED Light Bar mount build
Amazing. Very well thought out.
Looks like I need to go buy some steel . I'll add a few more bars up top for the dirt bike jerry cans though!
Any chance of getting a final measurement?

And perhaps a set of detailed drawings?

Watched your build videos on this and I must say, I'm impressed and it turned out nicely! Watched the "Project Police Interceptor" too and was disappointed when part 2 wasn't available. Lol. It's cool though, I'll wait. Keep up the good work!

Just bought the materials to do my version of this. please take a measurement of your bed rail hole first before actually just buying material, I went and tested it a one and a half inch piece from a local hardware store and it didn't fit and I had to go down to one and a quarter
