well not being rude but just realistic......8k for your truck on trade is not goin to happen....not sayin its not worth it but they'll give you more like 3k for it and put it on the lot for 8-10k or most likely wholesale it for 4-5k.....the raptors are nice but unless you live in cali or areas where there are sand dunes/dessert they're not worth it....you'd be better off gettin a f150 baja edition for what you want...also i think the raptors are way overated but thats just my opinion, they have to find a way to justify the 50K plus price tag on a slightly modded f150....lol.

You say they cant build them fast enough? Not sure what it means but around here I see alot of them being sold used already with only like 5,000+/- miles on them. If you ask me thats a sign. Funny thing is they hold there value better than other cars once once you roll them off the lot, I am seeing used ones for 43+ with 5,000 miles on them!

Just keep the Ranger. Fiberglass body panels are around 300-500 for front and same for rear, Long travel cost will depend if youre 2WD or 4WD. 2WD is easier to get long travel. Only one 4WD long travel kit that I know of, O'Neil Brothers. Looking to be around 3.5-4K, and about the same for the back. And as someone else mentioned you can get a good locker for 600-1000 bucks.

Even if you supercharge your Ranger you will still come out cheaper than buying a Raptor.

Ok well my dads works at dealer so Im not going to over pay like some goonies do. truck is 42,000 not 50,000 I have no intention of ever paying 50k. and about a month ago they traded in a ranger with nothing in it... no power locks windows etc.. but it was in percect condition (like mine) for about 7k. so I have power everything and other extras so i figure about 8k. but anyway. Idk I love my ranger and Itd be kool as hell to mod it but I want a bigger truck. Has anyone sat in the new f150s? big...

i have an 05 F-150 supercrew and its huge inside. im 6'1" and i never have been cramped in my ranger but there is so much more room in my F-150 and its awesome to have a backseat that even i can sit in comfortably. if you get the raptor are you going to wait for the supercrew?

I can't really compare the new F-150s vs the old F-150s, but the new F-150s are huge IMHO. As soon as I got inside one I understood why they are so popular around here, very roomy IMHO.

OP said he's not sure if he wants to make the deal, he isn't waiting on the dealership. For all we know he could have made the deal that day.
