Nothing smarter than turning a 4 banger Ranger that is good on gas into a slow truck with the fuel mileage of a V6.

I almost guarantee a lifted 4 cyl will get better mpg than 12-16 like my 4.0 but thanks for trying to bash on me anyway

My level II on 32s never got anywhere near as bad of fuel economy as you see. You probably have something wrong.

I don't see why everybody is hating on the original poster for wanting big tires on his 4 cylinder. Look at Suzuki Samurais and the old Toyota trucks, lots of guys are re-geared and running giant meats. I know the 2.3 Ranger is 2wd, but still...

Here's a better shot of mine. 31s are probably as big as I'll go, 32s max but that's only if I ever lift it. It still has plenty of power and drives nicely with the big meats.

2.3 came with 4x4 some of them.

But on another note I have 31s with my b2300. 2.3 auto with 4.10 and it's fine I get 16.5 mpg city. I've had 33s and it was okay. Im gonna be due for tires and I will be getting 32x11.50.

Poor little ranger... So you have to slow down on speed bumps so tires dont rip out the fender and the inner plastic piece? Dude level that thing and put some 30s... 31s that thing i bet is slow.... i want my ranger to move if i gotta go somewhere... i dont like slowing down on speed bumps.... I really make those new bilstein shorks get a workout. YEAH!! NO GRANDPA DRIVER HERE! Eventuallly i wana regear to 4.10s and run 31s or maybe 4.56 for those 31s.... i want my ranger to move not slow down

You mean like how 3.0s and 4.0 with big tires get the same mileage as an f100 4x4 with a 390.

You don't know what you're talking about obviously. No rub except slightly on full lock U turns and even then its very minor. The truck drives beautifully and speed bumps aren't a problem. My truck is not noticebly slower than with the stock 225/70s either.

I don't pay much more than I did before getting the 31s. Come on people, I really don't get the negativity here.
