Hey folks, I see others mention 1st. gen, 2nd gen...what the hell does this mean and how do I know or find out if my 2001/3.0 is this Vulcan that I see talked about????? Oh yeah, mine's a 01 Ranger Super-cab, 3.0 auto. 2whl.....is there something in the vin.?

The gen is short for generation and 1st gen is the first body style 2nd gen is the second body style and so on. I think 2001 is 4th gen but I could be wrong

And if your Ranger has a 3.0, it's a Vulcan. That's the only 3.0 ever used in Rangers.
