Well, I guess the spoiler may have been a bad omen for the 05. On the way to the grocery store last night we had to stop for an ambulance and fire truck at Telegraph and Eureka roads, the guy coming behind us must not have noticed we were stopped and the next thing we knew, the guy ran into the left rear of the Ranger and hit so hard, he flipped over and landed about 50 feet from where the Ranger stopped. He was going at least 45-50. We are both fine but he got the worse end of it. I hope he will be fine but I'm pretty sure the truck is totaled since the rear end is just about where the gas door is and the frame is bent along with the leaf springs which actually broke. Now to deal with the insurance company.

So what's planned for the next ranger?

Ouch, not good. In 2005 my wife and I were in an outback she bought and we had this big Ford LTD rear end us on the freeway. We were stopped, he was doing 60. That was the last time I allowed her to buy anything but Ford LOL.

Anyhow, I certainly hope you're ok. And I hope the insurance company don't jerk you around. Dirty folks those Insurance companies are.

Working on gathering parts, paint, vynals, and such for the rest of the build LOL. I use this as an everyday truck, but it's also the only truck I have for hunting and general off road fun. We're OK, sore and achy but OK. He hit me on the left side of the rear and basically flipped over and all I saw was him, upside down, flying past my window and landing on his roof. He was driving an older Mercury Topaz and that car is history but I believe he was not seriously injured. As for the insurance Co. We'll see how that goes as I am not going into this blindly. I went to the Kelly Blue Book for what our 05 is worth in all situations, retail, private, and, trade in, so I'll know if they're trying to clip me or not. I will let everyone know how this plays out.

I got reareended also a few years ago. The insurance totalled it, but I drove it away after having them make teh mechanic check it all out. I am still driving it perfectly 2+ years later.

Hopefully they will total it. so far, this morning they were at $6000.00 and never removed the bed to check for additional damage. The pace edwards roll top cover is trashed, that will add over $900.00 more. amazingly, the spoiler is in perfect condition. I will post a few pictures of the truck tonight.
