Older 80s rangers
ive got one ive been working on and going to drive while working. its an 83 model 4x4 v6. i was just wondering if anybody else had one so id know where to go with those little problems. and remember pics welcome haha

well mines 87 what type of v6 ive just started getting into my engine and fixing little things n needin to do alot to it plan on rebuilding whoe new engine in a year or so i have a 2.9L

As long as the rust gets taken care of, probably drive it for another 20 or so years. Atleast it's gonna be better than the first 20 with the 2.3L.

cool with the 5.0 man eventually would like to do that for mine way later on just to see how a lil pickup truck cruses with a v8 now the older gen rare rangers with 5.0s were screemers man.

Gots me an '88 with 180 thou on her and she's doing good. Last owner took good care of the engine and let the running rear go to sh*t. I've been doing tie rods, u-joints and bearings. Still got ball joints and rear bearings to do a little paint and shes good for another twenty.

Not kidding about the screamer part, just have to remind myself it doesn't handle like a formula 1 when trying to corner at hi speed. Need to get some lower profile tires back on it eventually. Got knocked back to reality when slamming into third and passing gets you to 90 real fast...

Hello Camoranger4x4,
Well just check all fluids so the engine & tranny is clean & check all 6 spark plugs & wires things like that & you should be a go. Just check out My Ranger Pictures & you can get ideas for your Ranger.
