Default My 96 Ranger

Here is my '96 4x4. Picked her up for $700 with a seized engine due to the previous owner forgetting to tighten the engine oil drain plug and then the plug falling out over time and driving with no oil. New long block from autozone and a lot of other new engine parts such as cam sync/pos. sensor. plugs & wires, oil pressure sender, temp switch, pcv valve/ grommet, new interstate battery, serp belt etc. basically n e thing that fails. Usually i would do a lift but leveling the front should do and i may add air springs inside the front coils to help since the front end is down about 3" compared to the rear so i ordered some 2" spacers to go between the coil spring and lower controll arm. new front shocks, new rear air shocks, new front bumper valance w/ fog light provisions, new halo fog lights, new one piece head lights, and some new cruise control switches for the steering wheel all ordered today.
here is how she looks before anything done besides the engine work.

more pics to come

no rust anywhere. 118k miles and around 300 miles on a new 3.slow. have a explorer w/ a 4.0 sohc engine and yes there is a difference but i am still pleased w/ the 3 liter. Probably gonna change out the surstep aftermarket rear bumper to an oem from a junkyard. also some new nerf bars and a class 3 receiver coming soon.

oh yeah. I also installed a dual A pillar gauge pod w/ oil pressure and water temp gauges from glow shift. The white face with 7 back lit colors to select from. Nice gauges for around $55 a gauge. Oil pressure is around 22psi idle hot and around 45psi cruising hot (1500-3000rpm). A little higher oil pressure at cold start but not much. Water temp hasnt gone over 200*f even after climbing Tower Rd here in Enola PA two different times. Ranger enthusiast here.

Nice! My ranger is a 96 3.0 as well. Looks like the front leans in a lot, would def level it. Good looking truck
