I remember reading this thread a while back, very inspirational.
Love that you're turning it into a prerunner!
If you want to do the suspension, look into BTF fabrication. They're here in Southern California and they do some EXCELLENT work. They're a bit cheaper than the other off-road places if you're willing to drive 3 hours to have it done.
Here's some of the work they've done. They did the spindles, upper and lower arms, bumper, and additional fab work required.

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap
These are my new 4.56 gears… I realized that with the new V8 and 35 inch tires I wasn't getting the performance I wanted . Feels like I'm starting out in third gear… So I'm going from 3.73 to 4.56....
Well I slept on it and it's Chistmas time and I really need to spend my money else where, so back to Summitracing tomorrow you go... Good buy 4.56 maybe some other day......haha yeah right....5.13's are on their way...summitracing will deliver on Thursday....I'm excited...

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap
$285.00 plus install kit and some other part, total I'm close to $400-$450 out the door... I did some checking and it's not a DD so I think the 5.13's are a better choice for what I'm doing...

That'll give you a hell of a lot of power. I like it. A fair share of guys run 4.88's with 35's and a 4.0
I've even seen a 4.0 Ranger DR with a 9" and 6.00 gears. It'll get up and go for sure!

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap
Well this has been an incredible ride, I have thoroughly enjoyed updating this thread and being in contact with such a good group of people. Through the hard times your motivation kept me going and help me complete my task… This truck has kept me focused on a healthy project when times were difficult and the Parkinson's progressed I could always count on my truck for a few hours of serenity. I want to thank you all for your friendship your advise and your encouragement during this V-8 engine swap… And the amazing thing… I did it…
Now onto the next chapter of this V-8 Ford Ranger… I'm planning on entering it in March 2016 in the Mint 400 here in southern Nevada… I will be soliciting donations for the Michael J Fox foundation for Parkinson's research… and you know what that means... we're going full race truck baby.... Now if I can get it done before the race starts so the build continues… One of the changes that I must make is that I'm putting my build on Facebook. Search on Facebook " my race against Parkinson's " i'm going to start from the beginning of this build do it faster but add more pictures. I've had over 13,000 to views on this thread and I thank you all for that… Please come and join my new group on Facebook, this is getting expensive and I may need some sponsors so if you join and become a member of my Facebook group it helps with the sponsorships so if you could help me out once again I would greatly appreciate it…

Thanks again all for your support through this build…
Rick...

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap
Well, it says that my post is now 911 days old... how time flys... this was an incredible build and I learned a lot you all helped me get it done...just an update. I still have Parkinson’s and I still shake, this damn stuff continues to get worse but I have been lucky and I’m still functioning. I sold the truck and started a new one... this time it’s a full desert race version. I had over 17,000 hits last time so there was some interest, I plan on racing for charity for the Michael J. Fox foundation to help further Parkinson’s research. If anyone is interested to see the next ground up V8 swap and build by this Parkinson’s dude please let me know!!! It’s been a wild ride...
