3/8 on them. It worked without a hitch on the first 3

ah that may have had something to do with it...3/8'' has more flex than 1/2'' that increases the chance of the socket loading the plug unevenly and that increases the change of them snapping

Next time. Spray a little pb blaster on and let it sit for a little bit.

another thing i do is tighten the plugs a hair before backing them out..just work them back and forth that helps a lot too

I used crc freeze off. It works faster than pb, you can hear the rust crack when you use it.

x2 you want to use PB instead so it slowly works away the corrosion. Its like if you were to use liquid nitrogen to chill your beer instead of putting it in the fridge lol

Why is my fuel pump not working? I put a brand new one on and it's not getting any fuel to carb.

Hey guys figured I'd post an update. I actually had a customer at my work come over and help me and he showed me a new method.

First we took out all the plugs, then I got the #4 cylinder and just below TDC and filled it full of oil. Then I turned the crank pulley bolt with my breaker bar rapidly and presto! The core of the plug shot out and broke up. Then we used a #4 extractor and since the oil was inside the cylinder it worked it's way into the threads and with a little effort it came right out!!

So very interesting and certainly saved me big $$$$$$ for having the head pulled.


So all in all she's back on the road and many mods are planned............😉
