Depends what you want and how much money you want to invest. These days, Ford is aggressive on their sales strategies with very interesting cash back incentives. For instance, in canada Ford offers 6k cash back and 1k credit on accessories, so a 2010 model can cost roughly what a used 2007-8 goes for.

First check your budget and do your homework on something practical if you live around alot of snow and do alot of off roading I would go with a 4x4. If your looking for something light to do a bit of yard work plus does great on gas i would suggest a small little 4 cyl truck. The Ford Dealership I live by is giving a sweet 08 yellow 4x4 Ranger for 14 grand

Agreed. Tell us ur budget and we'll tell u what to look for...lol. Are u wanting new or used? What kind of features are u looking for. I seen u wanted it off road ready, some Rangers come off road ready. Heck I have the regular 4X4 XLT and I can go anywhere. (Or at least it hasn't let me down yet)

XL's are good trucks to start a build on since it gives you a lot of ideas as to what to do with it. However if you want it off road ready, an XLT or Sport 4X4 would be good.

The Edge 4wd or FX4 4wd would be good choices also
