Kind of high price for the miles. I would shop around and see what else you can find before making a deal. See if that dealership will come down on price some. Most will to make a sale.

Buy a new 5 speed 4 banger Taco for 16k. It will cost less in the long run then a 12 year old truck with 150k on it.

I'm good with driving manual, it just gets annoying at times. And I pretty much have what you recommended, but it doesn't have enough power to really satisfy me I guess.

How long would I have till it grenades itself?

Is it an auto? If so no one knows. Find a 5 speed or buy a Taco!

It's in beautiful condition, beds got a scratch or two, but that's what's a bed is for right? The frame and exhaust still have the factory black paint!

no no the exhaust isn't painted from the factory. The frame and exhaust were painted/undercoated

Probably best to do what you think is right. It is your money. I would buy new Taco for 16k before I spent half that on a 12 year old truck with 150k. That doesn't mean I would be doing the right thing. It is just my opinion.

I'm so glad you guys are so knowledgeable! I would be so clueless otherwise. It's a good thing that its under coated right? Like are they trying to hide something from me?

Undercoating is a normal thing for northern vehicles to protect from salt and rust.

It's 12 years old, there is stuff wrong with it. You could get it inspected? Is there a warranty?

And modelageek, I see what your getting at, as that was my ideology with the ranger I have now. 4 banger manual, tough as nails just can't get through any terrain and has zero power. Just tryin toupgrade to a better ranger, because I love these trucks ya know
