Default Ranger helps out older big brother

Got the 90' F150 stuck a while ago while cutting firewood. Walked up the hill and fired up the ranger (just had it washed too). Hooked up the 12,000lb winch on the rear and pulled it out. Here are some pics.

It's a Promark midnight series. Went on line and bought it. I used welding wire and hooked it up with Anderson quick connectors.

here it is hooked up to my Dodge 2500. U can see the Anderson connectors in this pic.

Nice setup on that winch, about doubles the usefulness of it.

Did you make that front receiver, or where can you buy one. I looked at the Warn site, and one wasn't listed for a Ranger.

I had a local welder/autoshop do mine. They just welded up a piece between the frame rails and welded on a 2" receiver tube I provided. They had it done in an hr or so. Real easy to do. They also did the one for my Dodge.

Here is a quick vid I took with it on the front. I keep the 12,000lb winch in the Dodge 2500 and I only have a 4,000 Warn on a cradle I keep in the little Ranger. Yeah I know it's not big enough but it beats the chit out of a manual come along!!

Not sure if the vid works for y'all or not.

I'm looking at this one. It says it fits '92-'11 Rangers (excluding 2wd Rangers made in Canada and Rangers with a front crossmember). I'll probably end up buying this one and then getting a winch

So, this wouldn't work on a 2wd Edge?
