One of the nice things about Rangers, is that unlike most other vehicles, the Ranger still looks pretty much the same throughout the years. I mean there is a big difference between an 1988 and a 2008, but they both still look like Rangers. Most other vehicles (F-150 included) change so drastically that you actually have to look at the emblems to tell what it is sometimes. I think stretching the body of a Ranger to make it a 4-full-door would take away from that timelessness of it's image.

That is true. I believe the ranger hasn't had a major redesign due to the fact it would take away from the classic compact pickup truck look of the ranger. Rangers are for young guys and gals and for people looking for a good work truck. It isn't a family vehicle and I believe it's better not being a family vehicle.
