It's completely fixable, just depends on how much you want to spend on it once it's totaled.

Yeah it's fixable, but it will also be expensive, if just buy a ranger that has a blown motor or trans and put yours in it so that way you still got something out of the truck that meant a lot to you

I would piece it back together. Instead of totaling it out.

My ranger is in the body shop being fixed. I didn't get the insurance involved and the bill for the repair work is $3,300, way less than I thought.

Holy crap, that's more than I paid for my first ranger! Haha. But hey, if you're happy with it, I'm happy for you.

yup buy it back and get another ranger close to the same as the one you have and used the wrecked one for parts..... use the best parts from each rig, save some stuff for spares and scrap the rest

I know you said you took it to a shop. But if it's worth it to you then go for it. My buddy rolled his off road and it tweaked the rear part of the frame. He cut the truck in half right under the cab and rebuilt the frame while only taking three measurements from me. I would have let the damn thing go at that point but to each his own. And his frame is now stronger than most 3/4 tons out there haha

Did you do any measurements? Sorry the cab at that point is pretty weak imo. Well looking at mine with the 4 doors it does. You might of lucked out and just ripped the cab over and didn't do any or much frame damage.

I would find some points to measure off of underneath. I would also go across and diagonal. If its not bad or way off at that point I would just take it to a collision center and have them tweak the frame back to where it was and do the work yourself with replacing cab.

Taking the bed off to do some measurements might be easier too and if not all that bad you can probably use some hydraulic rams to force it back.

If the frame is fubared then your best bet is what was stated before. Find a ranger with a blown motor and trans and swap yours into it. Save your ol ranger for parts. Atleast you have the heart of your ol ranger in the new.

Good piece of advice in collision repair.......every reaction has an opposite and equal reaction. <this is always true when trying to restore to original. Almost always its never like original just within specs.

To do the job with the cab wouldn't be that hard really just time consuming and you have some threads here going through the process too. You should try to do an older jaguar and where everything is pretty much led welded together. One tweak to the body that is a good shot and you have to pretty much led weld everything back together. Now that my friend was hard.

Good luck hope the best!
