If that was a factory wheel, the insurance company would replace the wheel with a refinished wheel.....but an aftermarket, it'll be new.
The other damage isn't bad at all, should buff out fine!

I had a lowered s10 hit me almost head on.... his rig had $3300 damage.... all it did to mine was a broken driving light, messed up wind deflector and slight damage to the bumper....was ruled my fault because I was making a left hand turn... it was raining really hard, his truck was black and didnt have his lights on ... i had started to make my turn, saw him coming and stopped.... he planted his brakes and slid into me...all I did to mine was take the wind deflector off, replaced the driving lights and pounded the bumper back into shape

Re: Acident. Ranger 1, colorado 0
Visit as many shops as you can and get quotes for repair. Picking the highest price quote doesn't necessarily mean a better job. Pick the highest quote if you plan on doing the job yourself only. With going to the many shops you might see one your comfortable with or has a good shop going. High turn around of cars and good customer satisfaction etc.
I would refrain from dealerships as stated a before. They use the same parts as anyone else does. They will cheap out too and put cheaper parts on even after drawing up an estimate with oem price. Ive painted dealership cars I know. Ive also painted brand new cars wrecked going out of dealership parking lot. You wont find a car fax either. How lucky is that person that buys that "new" vehicle.
I would particularly go to a "collision" repair shop. They not only do body work but also usually have a frame machine and will also perform the mechanical repairs. Sure a dealership has these but they rarely have to deal with damage. That's all the collision shop deals with. With a good frame machine they can tell you any damage to frame or axle etc.
Also a collision repair center will fight tooth and nail with a claim adjuster that doesn't want to cover something that was caused by the damage. Ive heard a lot of stories where a dealership will charge a customer afterwards for parts needed that weren't put in claim.
Heres another reason that I love.... a good shop will work with you. I worked at a shop for years and the owner would write up a hefty quote and price oem. He would get used and verify it with you. The cost in savings would then go to a full paint job. It was more cost efficient for him to do a full paint job then to blend and match paint. You still got good parts and you received a full paint job. He had a good shop and his reputation spread we wound up painting the towns police cars and also the air force reserves wagons.
Just gotta go out there and see who has a decent shop.

Yeah first time this has happened to me, so I don't know any shops. People I asked told me the dealership, next time it's good to know, I'll just look for a shop

Re: Acident. Ranger 1, colorado 0
I don't know if this is the case everywhere but at least here, if there's a body shop on site, it's ran as it's own body shop business that happens to be on dealer property. Usually in association with a near by brick and mortar body shop. Doesn't mean they're only a Ford or only a Subaru body shop.
This is the same case with loaners/rental cars. Enterprise (or whoever) running a satellite location at a dealership isn't unheard of.
