Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Put my air silencer back in, noticed a big decrease in power and shift to lower RPM in the power band; it did however remove the lag or lack of power at very low RPM.
I will be removing it again in the morning. I like my acceleration when I need it; thx.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Finally worked on mine for the first time in 3 weeks. Made a vent system for my tranny so I can run my Hurst shifter, got my fenders on and adjusted, got my hood slotted and adjusted, and put my front bumper on.

I did the air box mod. Turns out the tube wasn't even in all the way and pulling it out made the truck noticeably quieter.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
I washed it this morning after I left work, then proceeded to drive the hell out of it around town with a couple of friends. We wound up at the river.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Today another day off, I completely removed the sway bar and links, cleaned and then painted the truck bed, and inside of canopy and replaced the blankets for the dog. I looked at the sway bar bushings and I was right, they were worn pretty bad. Painted the sway bar with rustolium for storage plus the brackets.

Good job on the installation! For your microphone, you can do what I chose to do and buy one of those plastic mic holders with adhesive on the rear. I think that that's a much better option than buying a metal one and screwing it on.

Thanks. That's what I might do. Do you know if they have them at radio shack?
Does the adhesive hold up, or is it weak and falls alot?

I would think that they would have them, but I bought mine at a truck stop. Good question about the adhesive. It only lasted about three days inside my hot cab, so I put a dab of Gorilla Glue on the backside, and it's held great. That's been a few (maybe 3) months ago.
