Would probably be easier to just wear your seatbelt, maybe?

oh, i wear the seat belt when i drive. i just hate the ding-ding-ding when i'm on the farm, or just backing up 5 ft, or starting it up to let it warm up...this is a multi-instance per day annoyance
it's not an issue of me not wearing it while operating the truck on city/state maintained roads.
edit: If all i did was start engine and hit the road every day, then yes, yes of course it would be best to leave it there and latch the seat belt
i'm an advocate for wearing my seatbelt while driving on public roads. i don't need to be reminded

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Yesterday it got new spring shackles : ) Today a new headlight/signal switch (lost my low beams) ---and I ordered some of the Restoration Black recommended on this group : ) --thanx My brother is doing the shackles--he owns a garage and does the things that require more muscle (not out to prove what women can do LOL)---although I have changed a rearend by myself in the past and I changed the rear axles in this truck when I first got it...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Added my Ford-brand tri-fold tonneau cover:
I got this for a decent price through my son-in-law. He's warehouse manager for a local auto parts chain with over 75 stores all over Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, and can sometimes score me some pretty good deals. List price on this tonneau was $480, and he got it for me at his cost for $360. Easy to put on, but it could be maybe an inch wider as it just barely covers the stake pockets.
Now I've got to find a good brand of protectant for it. I just stopped at Auto-Zone and looked at at least a half-dozen brands, but none of them list their ingredients! I want to avoid anything that is petro-chemical based that will dry it out, as I understand that Armor-All will do.
I know there's that 303 Aerospace protectant, but nobody in the area sells it and I'd hate to have to mail order something like that. What about something made my Mother's or Meguiars? Anybody have any other suggestions?

thanks for the clarification, I've seen what happens when seatbelts aren't used and isn't pretty.

It's actually made by a company called Advantage. It's one of the things you can buy through your dealer as an accessory.

I bought tono-tonic for mine. It works great. You're smart for avoiding armor all. I heard it shrinks covers and eventually turn them white
