Heads are pretty straight forward on sbf just take your time and stay clean/organized and get the head deck check deck them if you have to

You might as well bench port the heads while you have them off and get new valve guide seals and put new roller rockers/pushrods/valvesprings and a cam.

Thats what ive been told is as long as I stay organized everything should go smoothly. Im going to get the heads checked by mechanic.

Yeah and put the lifters in a bowl/jug whatever just submerge them in oil as soon as you take them out

But you need the lope! I'm so glad I cammed my Ranger. I'm thinking about switching cams though.
And the 351w is an awesome motor. I sold my 93 F250 last April with 464,000 miles. Original motor and trans. My dad bought it from the city when it had 90k on it.

That's what I thought too when I swapped my 300 inline out of my f150. The 5.0 turned into a 347 stroker in the time between though and I was happy then.
