I'm not sure personally, but I am sure if you search here you'll find an answer..I know it's been addressed before...maybe another member who's fixed it before will chime in

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
I replaced the passenger side motor mount since it broke. Which is a pain in the ass to do because I had to take out the coil spring to get to the bolt holding the motor mount to the frame. So while I was at it I replaced the upper control arm bushings. But when I was driving home I started to hear the same noise I got from the broken motor mount, only now on the driver side! Is it possible that I broke the driver side mount when I was replacing the passenger one? When I lifted the engine to remove the passenger side mount I didn't loosen the driver mount, could that make it break? You can only hear the sound like if something is hitting when I drive slow and on bumpy roads. What do you guys think? It sounds like metal hitting. Could it be the motor mount or something else?
