Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Installed a "Emiata" keyless entry kit. My truck has crank windows and manual locks. I had to install the actuators and door control switches. I expected this to be maybe a half day job at worst but it became a 13 hour job due mainly to very poorly written instructions and wiring diagram. I asked the seller (Peter Rothenbacher Engineering) for more details and never got a reply. I still need to figure out how to connect it to my parking lights so they flash when locked/unlocked and to the horn so it gives a short blast when I lock. At least I can remotely unlock my doors now and can unlock the passenger door with a door switch on the driver door.
My advice is dont buy the Emiata kit... there has got to be better choices out there. Hell, Car Toys would have been a better deal at this point.

Lol...no it wouldn't. Don't get so frustrated at the product because of your inexperience.
Clearly you were doing something outside your normal comfort/experience level. Expect delays, set backs, and most importantly...screw ups.
The best installers in the world were rookies at one point too.
PM if you want some help

Replacing front hub assemblies and installing new manual hubs. Thought only bearings on one side were bad but on my way to pickup another hub for other side. Grrrr. But on a good note found noise in front in lol.

fmf 4.1 on everything but the stainless steel, the titanium doesnt last for crap. I was actually surprised what a difference it actually made on basically everything ive put it on since usually exhausts off the shelf are complete junk but both the 250 and 450 it actually opened them up noticeably
