What did you do to your ranger today thread

Today I put a new grille in my 97 splash.

Attempted to wire the explorer dome light this weekend with no luck. I should have seen this coming when I first installed it two weeks ago.
I ran the wire then went to install and wire the explorer dome light but noticed a problem. Two of the screw holes line up (the factory electrical hookup and another hole which I believe to be the ground) but the third one does not. (The third hole being the power source for the map lights?) Instead, there is a square cut out from factory where the third screw hole should be.
The regular dome light works, but the map lights wont because I cannot hook up the power wire that I ran under the steering column.

Please Help!!!

Wired in my interior winch control switches and wiring for two fenderwell lights for night wheeling so I can see the rocks.
Here is the new switch panel. Still need to add one more rocker switch for the front winch.

Tore the top end apart to replace a headgasket. Should be back together this week. I just bought this thing for $800 bucks, I'll have about $200 into fixing it. Going to be my new DD. It's a 94 2wd with a 4.0 and a manual.

Took out the full console, too much modding did not like how it was turning out. Reran all the wiring for my extra toys for instal of the shorty console, and got my new to me arrow stick in the mail... hopefully install it tomorrow night.

nice, i had one of those on my old work truck. what are you using it for?

its my good Samaritan light. I stop to help poepl all the time on the side of the road. Drivers dont pay attention to 4ways anymore. I am tired of almost getting hit. I have strobe lights in the reverse lights and am adding this.

I have also been known to use the ranger as a tow truck for friends vehicles. Like my girlfriends vw that i towed from NJ back to PA. Had yellow lights running the whole time. it was a 13 hour round trip.

I don't use my lights to try to clear traffic when moving etc, also i am a funeral director so there are times i use my truck to direct traffic for funerals etc. Been wanting a traffic ad-visor for a while found a great deal on this one...

they are great for directing traffic. did you get the control box with it? the one on my work truck had differant settings, it could direct traffic around to the left or right, and it had a nutral setting where it would flash both sides out. the normal settings worked like a sequential turn signal like the new mustangs have, and it had a flasher setting where it just blinked. really was a great peice, i know new they go for some big $$

I just put in new intake gaskets to fix a coolant leak. Now a clutch and trans later in the week. '91 2.9 4x4

put some leds under the the front console to light it up at night, also have toggle switches on each side to turn them on and off! simple and cheap mod that looks awesome, pics later if anybody wants em
