Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Today I replaced a couple of bulbs in the instrument cluster. Then I was going to replace what I thought was a blown speaker in the passenger door, but after unplugging it and plugging it back in, the distortion is gone. Maybe it was actually the radio that was at fault and I didn't notice that it wasn't distorted last night when I tested the radio. Sure did sound like a blown voice coil though.
Then I did the zip tie throttle cable mod.
After that, I cranked my T-bars a bit, just to level the truck out some. Got about an inch of lift out of them, which gets the front and rear within 1/2" of each other. There's still some room left on the driver's side, but I'll let it sit for a week or so before I decide if it needs more.
Then I washed it, and took a few pics.
The next time it gets above 50 degrees outside, I'll glue on the front fender badge that fell off while the truck was parked for a year with a bad motor.
And a 3" body lift is on my short list. Probably sometime this spring. By spring, I'll probably need some new tires anyway.

It was a beautiful day here in Jersey. Changed my oil for the first time, washed the truck and did the ford explorer dome/map light mod.

You gotta have the ear man...it takes a lot of practice.
Start by setting the LPF (low pass) between 80-100. 120 tops depending on the sub. Get that set then you can adjust the gain

That's like people saying gas station oil isnt as good as oil from other places. They don't manufacture it differently because they're selling it in 7-11. Its a re-labeled oil its not any different than the store brand at walmart, advanced, or anywhere else for that matter. It all comes from the same plant with the same workers. Just a different label. Walmart just orders stuff in bigger bulks than an audio store. Just saying.
