Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Bottle of seafoam is 10 bucks here, run it through your vacuum line and it burns the carbon in your engine, makes it run a lot smoother if there's a lot of buildup

Yea same here. So you just unhook the hose and pour the whole bottle of it towards the booster, hook it back up and start it?

+1.
Calcium chloride is an alternative but is very costly (and still requires salt to mix-in). Also, our state DOT drivers use a liquid de-icer, but again salt is a relatively inexpensive method. Last, sand only helps to grip and not melt the snow and ice, so until an alternative can be found that is readily available, inexpensive, and effective salt will be needed.

Where i live there is the state road called the "parkway" don't know if you have heard of it or not but the park service just puts the sand down on that road so i usually take it if it isn't closed during a bad storm. They put sand on it so it wont pollute the water ways and create potholes in the road. And also salt destroys roads. The parkway hasnt been paved in how knows how long and the main road from my house was paved two years ago and already has bad cracks in it.

No no no pour it towards the engine. Do the trifecta. 1/3 in the gas tank 1/3 in the oil about 100 miles before you change it and let the vacuum line suck out the remaining 1/3 out of the bottle.

I had my daughter this weekend and we did a bit of driving doing errands. I know exactly where you speak of. I live across the river from those towns.
