Default Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread

Last week I went to see what was wrong with my window motor on the passenger side in hopes to fix it. The regulators were semi rusted which I believe added too much load to the motor and blew out the plastic gears inside. Instead of just buying a new motor, I simply added hot glue inside where the plastic gears were and reattached the motor. Works like new for now. I'll replace the motor sooner or later when the glue gives out, but for now I'm happy with this.

Went to get a wheel alignment yesterday and was told my front end has problems. They told me I need to start with replacing the front wheel bearings first if I hope for the alignment to stay. I've never done this job, but I will hopefully give it a try in a week or so. Hoping that I won't have to replace anything else after this.

Detailed the engine bay today. I unhooked the negative cable and covered the battery with a plastic bag. Soaked most of the engine in simple green and scrubbed with a brush for a little while. rinsed everything off and took the bag off the battery. Went to start up and nothing. For about 30 seconds I feared I just killed my truck, and then remembered I never hooked the negative cable back up. Runs, and looks, great!

Also ordered new cluster led's from Bugg, and a dome light from another member. Need to find a set of rail caps that are inexpensive yet somewhat durable, although I'm mainly going for looks. (If you have source for some, PM me please )

I know this isn't detailing thread but when you are spraying simple green spray away and scrub but when going to rinse start it then rinse and then wipe semi dry let run for 2 or 3 mins then soak it with armoral and keep it running for 5 to 10 minutes and tell me it doesnt make you jizz in your pants

One of my very close friends lost her sister in a horrible car accident a week or so ago. They are holding a local car show bennifit/trick-o-treat at the local mall parking lot on Oct 21st. I would love to see all local/semi local mustangs show up and help this family. The woman that died was pregnant and left behind 3 other little ones. Please come help this family and spend some time with other FRF friends. I don't care how you come muddy as hell or clean and detailed just please be there

Got a tire patched.. Yep got off workin a 12 hr shift at 6 am to find a totally flat tire... fortunately maintenance had an air compressor and aired it up and I made it home so I could get some sleep.

Putting a new battery in mine later today.
Found out mine decided to die Saturday night, as
I was leaving for work for the night!!

Checked it 3 hours later, and truck failed to start.
Luckily, I was able to get a jump, so I could get home!!
Failed again, 10 minutes after I got home this AM.
