However, I just put it in, and it is too early to tell just yet.
One nice thing about having K&N is that every time it is at a shop for whatever reason (inspection, oil change, ect.) they never try to sell me on an over priced air filter replacement and labor.

Thanks for the info Super33, ill keep that in mind.

I never noticed a difference either when I tried them.

it's original from 1995 only 77,734 miles on the part. Needs new plug on the top. I can give it a good once over and check to see if the shaft is making any noise it's not supposed to. All the teeth on the gear still look good.
EDIT:
Just went down to the truck to grab the part. hit it with a paper towel to remove the extra oil and while spinning the shaft it started squeaking. So it's shot too.

Today I installed camo to my center console and door. Sprayed my doors flat black. Only thing I gotta do now is put a ill more camo over the leather. Also took it into shop for an oil change and free diagnosis. Turns out got a bad leak in my rear wheel drum so gotta get the whole drum cleaned. Also need to change the tie rods in front .

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Ordered new valve cover gaskets because a while ago the PCV valve was gummy and caused a leak. Also picked up a new bugflectorII for the front end.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Installed the bugflector today, did it in the parking lot. Manager let me use his drill. I bought a drill bit and told him to keep it as a thanks for letting me use it. Wife likes the way it makes the front look and I'm happy with it
Pics tomorrow.
