Yesterday we had some hellacious rain. Some of the streets in town had a bit of flooding. I just laughed as the lowered Hondas in front of me were taking on water and I was just driving along with no problems!

Actually did this a few weeks ago but forgot to post it.
New Delta tool box.
It's the perfect size for me. Fits all my tools minus my shoeing rolly box which is cheap and plastic so I not worried about it anyways.

Oil and filter change. Lowered the spare tire and lubbed the winch assembly device. Removed all the garbage from the cab and bed. Lol.

Took mine in for brake inspection. Brakes squealed when stopping
at a very low speed. Specifically, in line at McD drive through, or equivalent.
Found that front brakes are well worn, but barely within specs. Rear brakes are even worse!
With BOTH shoes not only well worn, but cracked as well!! Lower half of drivers side also pulling away from steel backing.

Left as is for now, since I don't have the cash to get repaired.
Planning on doing that in 2 weeks, when I get paid next. Get bonus pay then as well.
So, I'm gonna have everything done then.

Can let truck sit till then, if I need to. Since my folks have an extra vehicle, I can use it if necessary.
Gonna run me close to $400 to have front/rear brakes replaced, drums/rotors turned, if needed.
And if within specs.

All I know right now, is this one's gonna hurt!

the front pads are so easy to replace it's not even funny...you can buy the 'good' pads for like $50 and save money on the front end.

edit: and u can get the rotors turned for about $10 each if needed.

mounted my action packer (last night but was to dark for pics)

Here pics of how I mounted it. Used a grinder to cut angle iron in half giving me two flat pieces. Used self tapping screws and it's now mounted solidly. Took it down some crazy rough roads and hasn't budged.

These are tough boxes, very sturdy and lockable.

It's the 24gal version.
Fits:
30'x2" town strap (50,000 kbs rating)
30'x7/8" bubba rope (rated at 28,600 lbs I believe)
Hitch
Squeegee
And I'll probably get a small fire extinguisher and a folding shovel.

Lots of room, cost $30 + mounting supplies (I had that stuff laying around)

One of my cheapest favorite mods.

Bought a shorty antennae at pep boys. Black spiral. Love it and doesn't interfere with connection. Plus, it looks better than the stock LONG antennae i had.
