Installed a Bed-Extender. What a great idea. What took me so long.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Cleaned my vinyl floors, I haven't gone further than soap + water since I bought the truck; the PO used Armourall and the floors were like ice. I'm driving some friends around this weekend, though, and I figured I should clean it properly for once.
What I started with:
(All my trim and stereo were out, the trim was in a trough getting washed)
Soap (Zip Wax), water, a nylon brush, and a shop vac to dry it left them like this:
And then I applied and buffed some "Meguiars Ultimate Protectant dash and trim restorer" onto the dash, door panels, and all the trim.
And here's a little 50/50 on the dash, I dusted and buffed the right half to show the difference.
I'm going to give it a few weeks before I post it in the C&D subforum, because I want to see if it holds up, or if it just fades back in days. The bottle says "lasts weeks and weeks", so I hope they're not lying.

That there is why I love the vinyl floor in my truck. My driveway is nothing but dirt and rock (mostly dirt), and when it rains, my floor is covered in mud. When the weather cooperates, I simply vacuum and scrub it. My old Ranger had carpet, and it stayed filthy. My dad also had vinyl floors in his Dodge dually.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
I am going to have to spend a few hours and take out all the damn shag-ish carpeting some idiot previous owner put in my truck... And of course they did it right and removed all the trim, seats, etc, and tucked it. *******s lol.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
It only takes about an hour total for me to pull all the trim out, and unbolt my stereo, and it's really worth it. I usually pull all of that, and then use "Resolve" carpet spray on the seats while I do the trim in a bucket, and then once I'm done that I can vacuum the seats and wash the floor out. I usually do about a foot square at a time, using a bare floor tip on the vacuum. I scrub with soap and lots of water to lift the dirt out, and then I vacuum the dirty water off. I put the trim back in before I used the cream, but I think next time I'll keep the trim out and do it separately. I still need to do a proper clean and polish and wax on the exterior, I've only washed it enough to take the mud off, and I'm leaving the rest for friday.
Also, in the spirit of this thread, I put a new air filter in and undid the airbox mod. There was a ton of mud inside the airbox (that I washed out) and it's scaring me a little with how I 4x4 this truck.

Did the throttle cable mod. Makes the gas pedal more responsive. I like the feel of it now.

HAHA! That is funny. With my luck the two little alligator clips would have dropped down to the metal launch base together, shorted out my fog system, and blown the fuse in my truck.
