The silicone you see on top on this picture is from the previous owner... Still gotta get the rest off... I think my best bet will be my finger nail and a lot of patience. Anybody have suggestions for removal of the rest of that stuff?
id remover the light altogether, weld in a metal patch to fill the hole, then sand down, body filler & paint to make it look like there was never a light there in the first place. mine was removed when a prevoius owner put a cap on, ive had the cap on since ive owned mine, its got a thick piece of tape over it. if i ever take the cap off thats what i'll do with mine. i did get the light assy with the truck, but have no intrest in one being there. the cap had a third brake light in the rear window, but i took it out a long time ago. one on the balzer never has worked. ive never been hassled about either vehicle being that way.

I don't think you understand... I just installed this light. It's a custom made LED third brake light and cargo light setup.

I was simply pointing out that I haven't gotten the OLD silicone from the OLD third brake light off my paint yet, because it will take a few hours to scrape it off by hand without damaging my paint.

Replaced the cam sync and sensor (started to get p0340, so couldn't put off any longer)...was no trouble to do. Changed the oil. Washed it (today was unseasonably warm).. Still prepping the garage to pull the bed and work on the frame and hangars in the heated stall.

Went on a junkyard run for her today...

Got an explorer OHC, auto-dim mirror, and visors for $20 ^_^

Then washed her up

Spent yesterday servicing and checking turbo operation. Today I drove North cruising at 70mph, journey was 433 miles and averaged 21/gal. Glad its diesel as petrol would have been heavier consumption
