Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
I got in a hurry turning left at a green light cause a bigger truck was coming faster than I thought. Pulled a burnout ! Surprised me and my daughter ! I had to let off to get traction and get out of the way ! Dry asphalt too ! Tickled us lol

It was alot cheaper for me then the average cause I got to use the wholesale account from my work and my employee discount at work. BUT.... it cost me about $600
heres a brake down for a retail buy.
LSD Carrier - $50 from craigs list
Diff Bearing Kit - $99.99+tax
Wheel Bearings - $36.99x2+tax
Royal Purple Gear oil - 19.99x2+tax
Diff Clutch Set - $149.99+tax
Diff Clutch Spring - 36.99+tax
Labor - $300.00
So about $750-850 depending on what you have done.
Theres another BUT. you can get a brand new complete carrier from americanmuscle.com for the 7.5" for 250. and then get bearing and gear oil and have it installed. so that might save alittle.

I let the Ranger sit since I was off work. I did need to take the wife to the dr.'s, so I drove the Ford Edge today.

Completed first oil and filter change, Mobile 1 full synth. Vacuumed out interior, adjusted tire pressure, and ran her through car wash.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
I got out of work early today, so as soon as I got home, I started working on the PowerDome. I got the back edge cut-out, and 'glassed a couple of hairline cracks in one of the supports that occurred when the donor truck got nailed. If it's nice tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can get the front edge laid out for trimming before the Homestead race comes on.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Replaced the upper control arms and lower ball joints on both the passenger and drivers side. Was a huge pain for the first one, went much smoother once I learned a few tricks.
