Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Put four brand new BF Goodrich all-terrain KO's on it, but that's not even the best part, lol. The best part is I made Wallyworld match an online ad for $118.00 per tire-which they did-and mounted them for free. LT235 75R15's, go for $167.00 per tire on their website. The pricing that they matched was from discounttires.com. :-)"""

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Drove it a "Top 30" show about an hour away in Bristol, VT--came away with a trophy. I have another one tomorrow in Granville, NY--I'm going for a 3rd class win in a row at that one.

Put in 2 new speakers in the doors. (Easy to take the door trim off). Checked the rear differential oil level.
Filled up with gas; ran just over 19mpg.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Well just got home, me and my boy ordered stuff for our trucks off recon website. We spent a total of 300 or 350 between us. I ordered their fire and ice tailgate strip and two 3156 white led bulbs for my reverse. He ordered the big rig running lights for his 06 f150 and same reverse lights I did, he already has the recon smoked tails and smoked high mount plus the fire and ice strip
Hopefully they come before Thursday so I can install all that on our trucks Friday lol

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Changed the shocks for some Bilstein twin tubes. Fitted oil catch tanks, EGR's already blanked off, so the trucks are not eating their own 'waste'.

Andy,
How long did it take you to do the headlight mod? How are you going to do the corners? What about the foglights? There does not seem to be a way to do those that would not really cut the light.

I was about to post that I destroyed a set of brand new 06 corners yesterday, trying to get them separated after baking them. This is NOT easy on brand new parts. Either you're not baking them long enough and then you crack the lens trying to separate it w/ a screwdriver, OR, you bake them for too long and warp the lens. And even if youre successful it's easy to screw up the chrome plating on the inside rim of the corners with the screwdriver as you pry them apart. And it gets better: when I was trying to remove the old glue with the screwdriver,it slipped and I made a huge gash right down the middle of the chrome.
I got the new headlights apart, barely. One of the headlight lenses is slightly warped despite the precautions I took. I didn't bake them for longer than 20 mins at a time and I didn't go over 215 degrees and I still managed to slightly melt one of the lenses.
Now I get to spend another 5 hours getting all the old glue off of them. Fuck this mod.
