Your definition of beat on it is probably way different than ours. I think keeping it around 2k RPMs is not beating on it. 4K is beating on it.

yeah I shift at 2.5-3 Never go over that. also with my 31s I really dont feel like burning out my clutch.

My truck rarely sees any acceleration over 2k unless i'm pulling out into rush hour traffic. But that's rare.
