Re-taped the trans connector? How is that done and what does it do?

lol, one of my trans connectors is broken. There's a little metal piece on it that locks the connector onto the trans. This metal piece pivots on two nubs that are placed on each side of the connector. When you pull the metal piece up, it unlocks the connector and you can pull the connector off the trans. Well, one of the pivot nubs is broken on my connector, so with my slight front vibration issue, the connector shakes and that metal piece comes up, and the connector slowly comes loose, creating a faulty signal. Trans picks up the faulty signal and throws the O/D Off light. So, the three ways to fix it are 1, Get vibration fixed. 2, Replace faulty connector. 3, tape up current connector to keep the metal piece down so the connector doesn't come loose. Guess which one is the cheapest?

Washed it, vaccumed the floors, cleaned the leather, and tire-shined all the bumpers, door handles, bedrails, etc..

Oh, it didn't stop me. I have a back up vehicle, plus, not everywhere I park has a hill to push it down.
Part of the issue with the brakes was that the rears they were dragging making pushing a bitch even with a hill. :-/
